Finished it last night. This is going to be one LONG spoiler!:biggrin2:
I was satisfied with this season. There were many things that I didn't think they could have ended any other way. Some examples:

- The Hound and The Mountain's final battle: Anything else would not have been a fitting end. Sandor has come full circle and grown, but he's finally back to do what he's always wanted to do. Now Gregor just won't die. OK, fine. Into the fire we both go. Shout out that he was able to stop Arya and bring her to some sense.

- Jamie and Cersei: I do agree that I would have loved Cersei to have a more violent death, but she was horrified that she could not protect her baby, so there is some justice there. It would have made me happy to see Jamie stay with Brienne. She loved him, but for Jamie it has always been Cersei. Even though, as someone else pointed out that he had grown as a person/character, at the end of the day, she was what mattered to him. He found her, and when he couldn't save them, he made sure she was looking at him and they were together at the end. When Tyrion found them, I did cry with him.

- Daenerys: First, I have to say, I agree with cat in a bag that this was not sexist writers. She was being true to who she was. In her mind, she was liberating the people and she wasn't asking if they wanted liberating first. We saw traces of the madness before, and usually she had Jorjon and/or Missandrei to rein her back in. You can see as she loses them one by one, that she is also losing her grip on her sanity. Emilia Clark is an amazing actress!

- Arya: Man, she is a bada$$! I just love this girl, so much. I read earlier someone compare her to Dany and I disagree. She had a carefully constructed list, she learned how to do something about it, and she (with the help of Sandor) learned when to let it go. I hope to learn from her "what is west of Westerros".

- Sansa: She was my least favorite character in the being and up at the top few by the end.

- Jon Snow: He never wanted to be king. Seeing him lead the wildlings North was a fitting end. He was the most noble of them all.

Now I have to decide if I am going to start watching again from the beginning, or re-reading the books!;)

Yay!! :applause: :applause:

I wish Out of Order would come tell us what he thought!!

I also wish Jamie had stayed with Brienne, but I also kinda wanted her to fall for Tormund. :D He was so funny with his attempts to woo her! If Jamie had stayed with Brienne I would have felt Cersei's death a bit more apt, if she had to die alone. (Not very nice of me is it? ;))

I forgot to tell you all, I played a fantasy league type thing with Brandon and Marti and some of their friends. Think fantasy football but only GoT. You had to pick your team (you got points for just about everything, but most notably kills) and fun things like how many butts you would see :D or how many glasses of wine would be consumed. I won. :applause::applause: I did have Dany picked to win it all but you had to sign up before the season started and then you were locked in. No changes.

Anyway, I was dead last the first few episodes. But shot to 3rd after Arya took care of the Night King then when Dany lit up King's Landing I passed everyone else and no way anyone could have caught up. No one else picked Dany. Marti might have had a chance because she picked Bran to take it all but Brandon convinced her she was wrong and she changed it to Jon at the last minute before choices were locked in. I think I still would have won, though, because Bran had no kills or any points all season until the end.

Just a fun little aside to how we all watched the last season in my family. :D

Still can’t talk about.....very upset with how my Mother of Dragons turned out (((yes yes all the signs were there for it, it was inevitable blah blah blah :())).....and Bran ends up on the Throne?? Well, at least Hodor must be happy (((and why didn’t he come back as part of the undead army))).....all these seasons of build up to the ultimate war with the Night King and poof(!) he and his army are gone in an instant?(((okay I might have cheered a little when that happened, a little)))....not seeing Cersei die a horrible miserable death?(((I actually liked Cersei, she was the straw that stirred the drink)))....John ends up beyond the wall?? (((Does Ygritte have a sister?;;D)))

And to top it off I’m stuck looking after Drogon. Granted, the rides to work are fun, but I’m almost out of goats!!!!

Right, can’t talk about it...
