Thoughts on the final season of Game of Thrones.
Arya defeats the Night King, the guy that has spent thousands of years planning his march south, he gets defeated by someone that teleports out of nowhere and his guards are helpless?
The Dothraki?
Everyone survives the Battle of Winterfell, despite the guys nobody cares about.
Dany goes mad, is this the same Dany that hung all the slavers of Mereen for what they did to the people? Nope, not my Dany.
Cersei is the villain, not the Night King, the guy that the series actually is named after, the winter?
The archery towers at King's Landing are useless against Dragons all of a sudden? Despite the fact that Euron managed to get one of them on a ship?
John, "she's mu queen."
Jamie does a complete u-turn and goes back to Cersei?

Yeah ... I'll stick with the books.

Something else.
Stannis Baratheon did not deserve what the series did to him, he is basically the only character in GOT who still values honour and his word, he was a genuinely good man in an impossible situation, he didn't want to be King for any vain hope of glory or history, he wanted to be King because he had the right, he was the rightful successor of Rob, his brother. He loved his daughter, he sent envoys all across the land to find healers who could cure her greyscale, he would never do what he did to his daughter in the show. In the books, he is the best chance of bringing order and glory back to Westeros, in getting rid of the Lannisters and their evil ways.

"I will not become a page in someone else's history book."
Stannis Baratheon, the True King.
