I watched "Night of the Living Dead" at noon on a Saturday when I was around 11 and was scared to go outside after. THE best zombie film to date and in the top three of all time horror. I hate he had to go.
George broke a lot of (at the time) taboos with NOTLD- female 'lead', a black man as one of the other main players and the scene of the little girl 'feasting'. This movie was filmed not too far from where I lived in Pennsylvania until I was 15 and moved. The metal bridge towards the end of the movie where they have a news crew set up was called the Iron Bridge. My sister jumped off of the top of it into the river when I was with her and her then boyfriend driving around on a hot summer day. He stopped the car in the middle of the bridge, she got out of the car and scaled one of the metal trestle to the top and jumped in. She was always doing daredevil things like that.
