I am in danger of losing my job. I was in the hospital all last week. I was unable to leave - involuntary admission.
I Went to work this morning. Went to HR. They sent me home, said I was in no shape to work. These pills they gave me, I can't function with them.

Now I have to call the doctor who treated me and he has to give medical information and tell them I am able to work.
I really hope he does.

Thank you again for starting this thread Spidey. The prayer of St. Francis is inspirational, in the spirit I mean. The first time I read it was when my nephew Jake was in the hospital. We were afraid we were going to lose him. He was so pitiful laying there in the bed it broke my heart, I started to feel overwhelmed by helplessness and hopelessness. I had to leave the room before I burst into tears.
I left and began to head outside to get some air and to find a private place to cry, before I found the exit from the hospital I found The prayer St. Francis of Assisi It was on the wall. I stopped and read it. My whole body felt warm all over and I felt weak in the knees. I started to cry but instead of tears of frustration they were tears of gratitude. Jake made a full recovery with amazing speed. I will always be grateful for that prayer.

I edited this because I had for some reason said the Prayer of St. Jude instead of Francis... I'm sure St. Jude has a great prayer somewhere but I meant St. Francis. Blarg.

Thank you for sharing, Pats. I am glad St Francis's prayer was a help to you. It is my favorite.

Here is the prayer to St. Jude- patron saint of depression and those seeking help.

The Prayer to St Jude
O most holy apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honoureth and invoketh thee universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, and of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me, who am so miserable. Make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded to thee, to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of.

Come to mine assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and succor of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (here make your request) and that I may praise God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity.

I promise thee, O blessed Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favour, to always honour thee as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to thee.

Amen.

Thank you all for your thought and vibes.

I heard from work. They are placing me on short time disability. Because I am crazy now.
I think I might go away for awhile to some sort of facility.

I am not fired, but wow - she looked at me and sent me straight home. I am embarrassed.

Do not be embarrased. Accept the disability time, trust in what your heart is telling you to do. Place yourself on the best path possible. Holding you to all positives and inner peace.

(((N.N))) Mental imbalances are a human condition Nadine and I'm certain we all suffer from them at one time or another--sometimes people just have better support systems, so it isn't always so 'out there'.
Honey try not to be embarrassed, just accept the help offered (whenever it is) and seek it out if it's not offered enough--we all deserve to feel well and sometimes the chemicals in our brain just need a little bit of help to realign themselves.
Keep talking to people, you will feel well again...
