Yes. Someone in your daily life needs to contact this board just to let us know. And they don't have to be a member. There is a contact email on the website and all someone has to do is post to that and ask that it be passed onto Marsha.Thank you! We are all behind him and it's good that he knows it! So glad you alerted us in the first place!
Gentle reminder to our Tet! Have a plan for contacting the SKMB family for emergencies!! (((Tet-mates)))
Thank you for the update, DJ! Still worried about him, but this sounds encouraging. Tell him to keep fighting and we'll keep him in our thoughts and prayers.Shannon has contacted me to give an update before the morphine kicked in again which he says knocks him out for hours.
First, he wants to thank all of you for the good thoughts and attention you are giving him. He doesn't have the energy to respond yet, but he is seeing them and they are giving him real comfort.
He is on a cpap machine with 100% oxygen, they keep trying to take him off that but his blood oxygen goes down to 80 which is not good. Apparently the doctor told him he is not out of the woods yet, but heading in the right direction. The surgeon is amazed he is still here as he said his lung capacity was at about 15% and normally, that would mean "lights out." (doc said that, not me.) Shannon told the doctor, "you don't know how much of a stubborn a**hole I am." And apparently Tamara is totally pissed at him for not going in sooner (in a loving way of course).
I guess the size of his clots was "challenging" (doc quote), but the doctor feels he blasted them to smaller more manageable pieces, but not sure what his prognosis is.
So please keep Shannon and his family and team of health care professionals in your prayers and thoughts.
