I just feel like being thankful today. I have been extremely blessed in this life and will try to focus on that today as opposed to what I tends to do by nature, which is to worry and be a pessimist unnecessarily. I think one full day of good attitude is likely to be a good idea, what the hell. :apple:

Hi, Tet. I promised to let you all know. Last night I had to put Bo to sleep. The last few days saw a dramatic downturn. He couldn't hold anything down, and his stools had become bloody diarrhea, suggestive that the cancer had spread to his GI tract. He had not been in pain until last night. When he began to yelp that was the signal for me, the point beyond which I could no longer wait. He was very weak by then, couldn't get up from the floor. I could tell he was ready to go. I was able to stay with him during the procedure (though, it's okay when owners can't) which was very quick and obviously painless. I've appreciated everyone's thoughts and prayers ever since Bo was first diagnosed back in May of 2012. I was very fortunate to have been given the extra time I was, to enjoy his company and friendship, the kind a dog provides in a unique way.

Remember the good times and just think of the good friend you'll have waiting for you when it is your time. Stuff like this upsets me because it hits really close to home. You being an animal lover like I am I think you know what I mean. I'm really sorry and I'm happy that you two had such a great life together.

My thoughts are with you, Frank. I've traveled that road too many times. Hold the good times, that is what Bo would want. The tears will come when you see that toy, or special place Bo so liked. Let them, then smile for Bo. He is at peace. You gave him care and love and I know he back so much more. I'll light a candle for him, and hold you to inner peace.
