Neesy, did you ever find yourself a copy of Carrie? My son bought be a original 1st printing of "Carrie" for 50¢ and two other editions of "Carrie" for $1 each. We get them at thrift stores and at the library. The main branches normally have books for sale. One library I go to has so many books for sale, it's like a sub-library in itself. They have so many for sale, they are in order by genre and author in alphabetical order, like the rest of the library. I have about 95% of his books and the most expensive one cost $1.50 - I also have many on audio and I get them for 50¢ to $5.
No such luck here - I do find a few Stephen King books at Value Village but so far have not run across a "Carrie"

Good for you! You got pretty lucky finding those bargains :):reading:

So I see from your profile that you like this particular author - I have never heard of Harlan Coben before - it is mystery/suspense or true crime? (something like that?)

Sounds good - nice dog in your avatar =D

It was a resue gone bad mission. My son was 12 at the time and we saw it siting in a ditch/Culvert on the side of the road. Looked hungry. It hadn't had a bath for ages and it had light scars from running through thorn or briar patches. We took it home, gave it a bath every few days, trying to get the bad smell off. We tied it up in the back yard. Had to get rid of the smell before it was going to come inside. Anyway, my son made a fauly knot in the rope one day, and it left. We had rope long enough for it to get a good distance. Our neighbor needed to repair their provacy fence so our yard is confined. I'm hoping someone gave it a good home. If it didn't find a home, I believe it would it would have come back when it got hungry. It wanted to jump all over us. Extremely playful. We must have kept that near empty sack of dog food for 4 years, after it left.

Sad story - looks like he had a bit of pit bull in him - let's hope he found a nice permanent home with someone

It probably worked out for the best. I didn't need a dog at the time anyway. I was just going to care for him till I found an owner. I just wasn't expecting the vanishing act
