Back when iPads were brand new and hardly anybody had one, I won one. It was a contest on Facebook. (Most contests on fb are bogus and just after your personal info. Always make sure it's a company you trust.)

Well, I just won an iPhone. I won't be able to pick it up for a few weeks, and I have to make sure They will allow me to get out of my current cell phone contract, which expires in a few months.

I have a good thing to post - Andy went for a checkup and is now cancer free since August 2007, so now he only has to see the ENT specialist once a year rather than every six months .

Passed on the iPhone. It required signing up for a data plan with the company, which I am not willing to pay for. They did give us permission to purchase a phone with a talk and text only, and they would pay up to $200 for our phone, but since I qualified for an update on my phone anyway! our phone only cost $35, which the phone company agreed to eat. Plus $15 for changing our plan. Then $20 for a cover and that plastic thing over the front. So, we're going to see if the guy who we won the phone from will cover that little bit. <shrug>

I do like my new phone though.

I had a great time with hubby last night. We had a date night that included dinner and The Jim Jones Revue concert! It was nice to be together like the old days. I just love him so much! He turned 40 this week and he is just as gorgeous now as when I first met him. I am so happy. He is the best thing that ever happen to me. He brought me so much, it's hard to put into words.

I don't like to announce things before they actually happen. Well I have been looking for a job for the past couple of years and NO LUCK! My way of making money was babysitting my aunts kids and that has to stop (personal reasons). Well I applied where they had walk in interviews today and I was nervous as hell but had a tad bit more confidence than I usually do, more eye contact and more engaging. Anyways I honestly feel it went very good. Some small talk and I just really feel like it'll work but I just want to wind up discouraged again because today I did however get my first rejection of the year from my home States local grocery store. But anyways that was good for today and hopefully I get that call back by Friday because I do have big plans if I get this job.

I had to take a break from applying for jobs. Mostly I feel good about myself. But it is so disheartening when employer after employer doesn't want me.
