Ugh! Last couple of years hasn't been good for music! It was announced yesterday that Gord Downie, 52, lead singer from The Tragically Hip has terminal brain cancer. This Canadian band was introduced to me by my husband before we got married in 1999. We have seen them so many times and is one of our all-time favorites. I was devastated to hear this news.
I cried for Scott Weiland, I cried for David Bowie and now I cried for Gord. He's not gone yet and the band plans to tour this summer, despite his diagnosis.
I am just hoping we can get tickets for the Toronto show to see him one last time!

Yep, now I wanna cry for all those cats, and for Lemmy. Don't fergit Lemmy. and Darwyn Cooke. Those are people who DIED, died! They were all my friends, and they died.

Gord is so talented. It's too bad his band never found as much success outside of Canada as Bryan Adams and Celine Dion.
