Hi, all.
I am writing on behalf of my high school English class students. They have been reading "Graveyard Shift."
In the story, at 4am Thursday, the men lift the door to the sub-basement. Warwick notes a lock on the underside of the door, and Hall remarks that there are many possible reasons for that.
Can anyone help explain why the underside of the trapdoor was locked?
