Hi y'all, I'm Tez, from the great Midwestern state of Wisconsin. I'm a relatively new Stephen King fan (age 22) but have quickly been devouring his works since I read Carrie last year. King has been the author that has helped me rediscover my own love of reading, which I had lost during my early college years. Since then I've read 8 more books by him and plan on reading many more. He's even inspired me to consider writing myself which is never something I've felt comfortable doing but with his guide, On Writing by my side perhaps is worth a shot. General question I'd like to ask the board, any idea if King has ever vacationed in Wisconsin? The state is full of weird oddities (Circus World, House on the Rock, Ed Gein/Jeffrey Dahmer), and is in many ways similar to his own home state with the large number of lakes and small towns. Door County has even been called the "New England of the Midwest" due to it having a long winding coast with many harbor towns.
It may be a bit much to ask for my first post but if a moderator or admin would mind sending me an address that I could write a longer letter, I would love to give him some recommendations on a trip that would showcase all the strange oddities the state has to offer. It may even provide some inspiration, (as my ulterior motive is to see if he may be inspired to write a story of some type involving my own state.).
Don't want to banter on too long! Just happy to have found a community to share thoughts with! Thanks to anyone that reads this post.
