Gritty Joker origin movie produced by Martin Scorsese coming.

I don't know if I should be excited about this or not, I hope it's an elseworlds story and does not have Jared Leto as The Joker. I had an idea for a Joker origin story that was kind of inspired by that silent film The Man Who Laughs, and the 30's version of Scarface. The thing that worries me is that the director of The Hangover is directing this, with a screenplay by the writer of 8 Mile.

...I thought the same thing after I posted that, but I always thought Leo was the more suave and debonair of the two, last Oscar role notwithstanding....
