Silly question, but I'm curious: what do you all make of the fact that cats are mostly immune to Captain Trips? I kind of love that! I am still trying to map out all of the cats throughout King's work. It's very interesting (when read next to his work with dogs).
I pondered this, briefly. Not sure. Larry watches the monkeys and other animals die when he's sitting near the zoo and I think he even wonders about this.

I think I am going to have to call it a night. I've got editing to get back to. Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful conversation, Doc Creed! When will we be meeting again for Book Two?
Probably around October but I am thinking about polling everyone. We don't want too much going on at once. Halloween stories coming up, holidays, etc.

Thank you for showing up. Great discussion. :encouragement:

Still here! Family demanding attention though. Haha!

I also wondered, like Nomik how the military would respond in today's world. Blindly follow orders to try to stop it from spreading or take a "stand" like the soldiers in the radio station?

It is frightening how disillusioned we are. Social media is #1 culprit IMO. Yet it can be a source of good things too.

Move over Buzzfeed. SKMB has "Which Character Are You?" :heheh: Just for fun, but there will be prizes to follow.

Here are the results of the preliminary drawing. If your name matches up to a survivor then you will automatically go into the final drawing which will be held at a later date. I've highlighted those in red to help. Congrats. (To meet the quota, and giving benefit to the originals who signed up, I included the absentee members.) Considering some of the earlier comments, you may find some of these funny.

Because cats have nine lives.
