Halloween Story 2017
It’s that time of year again! This is a SKMB annual tradition. I participated as a writer last year, and I enjoyed it so much that I have decided to spearhead the project this year. If you want to participate in a fun writing project, and you are not shy about showing off your writing, please take part.
Do not think that you will be discovered by Stephen King by taking part in this project; he will not be reading it. This is a fun Halloween project for members.
The format is a little bit like the game of telephone, but as a written story. A list of participants will be compiled here, and the order of writers will be determined by me. One brave soul will volunteer to start us off, and away we go. Last year’s story “The Graylands” was about zombies. If you are considering being a writer, I suggest you look at last year’s story to see how it flows.
I will probably make the cut off for sign ups next Friday, the 22nd. You don’t have to be a great writer to take part, but it will be loosely edited because of time constraints. In other words, send your best copy to me, not your rough draft. When the list is complete, each person will have about two days to write. You will get all of the parts of the story that have been written before your part, and the idea is to continue the story.
There are a few rules:
· No references of any kind to any character, event, or entity in and Stephen King work
· This is a family friendly board, so if it isn’t allowed on the board, it can’t go in your story
· Send in your submission on time
Here is the link to last year's story. It was a lot of fun, so I hope that you read it over and decide to join in the fun .
