I've been reading some of the past stories and people you are GOOD. The last few nights I have been laying awake thinking and fretting about it. I just KNOW
I am going to screw things up. Honestly thought we each wrote a separate story until Nomik filled me in. I'm thinking I should back out because as I said you people are GOOD! Don't want to be known as the person who screwed up Hallowe'en 2018 :facepalm_smiley:
There is no way you could screw this halloween story up!! Every piece in the puzzle is part of the whole and each chapter has its own voice which makes it fun. I would really like to read your piece and i'm sure you'll do great.

Nomik How is it decided who goes first, second, etc?
Last year she made a random choice except, i think, we decided to let our friendly giant finish. Dont know if she will go with the same thing again.
That part is actually planned; I confer with the story participants (and mods/Consultants), and seasoned, strong writers, willing to volunteer are put in start and finish position. After that, it is more or less random unless someone has a specific tone frame that hey know will or will not work. Since we will know by the cut off for sign ups how many people will write, we can roughly plan what days people will have to write their part. There are no guarantees because emergencies happen.
There will be a board closing in October, but it is my understanding that writers will have access to a specific forum. The story rolls out live to the writers before it rolls out Luce to the rest of the public!

I’m trying to remember when the cut off was the part two years.....when should I cut off sign ups? Suggestions.....?

I would like to add that writing your part ahead of time won’t work. Part of the fun is weaving an organic story. If you try and do it ahead of tine it won’t fit into the plot and it will stick out like a sore thumb.

The story writing itself didn't begin until September 23 last year and began rolling out mid-October. The more participants you have, the longer you'll need so that each person will have time to write their part. Also keep in mind that the Board will be closed until October 18th so you'll only have 10 days including Halloween. Once you have your 10 participants and perhaps an alternate or two in case one of the original 10 has to bow out, that would probably be a good time to close the sign up.
