Liberating, i'nt it? ;;D
I wasn't going to admit this, but one time (in 1995) while on a long range trainer with the military we stopped in Holland. The hotel had "naked night" at the pool and spa.

I was much younger and slimmer then, so I thought what the heck?

I was coming out of the hot tub (without my glasses) when two guys approached - it turns out to be the pilot and navigator of the Herc - [well, I think we had more than one navigator] - anyway - I said "Oh! - I did not recognize you guys!" Since we were all totally naked, they thought that was a hoot!

Were the Herky guys still wearing ear protection since that aircraft is the loudest thing ever produced by humans?...lol

Um - my vision was a bit blurry (like I said no glasses and had not had the laser treatment back then)

I don't mind the CC130 actually - it's easy to sleep on one (as long as you wear your big ole ear defenders)

You must know them - they look like giant headphones

(I was too embarrassed to remove my bathing suit top in public of course - but that was on a public beach)

The Dutch seem to have a much more liberal way of looking at life :tickled_pink:

We got to travel from Jacksonville, AFB here in Arkansas to Quantico, VA a few times on them courtesy of the Government for entry training many, many moons ago. We stopped in a couple of AFBs along the way to pick up other LE members. The crew guys were awesome but had some fun with us, mainly by making the take off damn near vertical out of Little Rock, AFB. Not sure if that was normal or solely for our benefit and amusement. Only a few of us went green along the way. Not exactly like traveling in a passenger airliner that's for sure. Even with the huge headphones I couldn't seem to hear ANYTHING over the engine noise...lol
