I found this message board back in January of 2007 to say thank you to the man who wrote the stories I enjoyed...had gotten three novels from my wife for Christmas, '06: From A Buick 8, Bag of Bones, and Hearts in Atlantis.

After reading...an afterword, I think it was, in Bag of Bones, paperback copy, after reading the final sentence or two of that afterword by King, something about an up-coming (at the time) Hearts in Atlantis, and to tell him what you think about it. Sounded like an open invitation and with a website listed someone on the jacket, I found my way here.

There's probably been a time or two (you think?) when I regretted joining the board...and staying on after the initial post or two...the regret surfacing much later. That's enough for now. How about you? Have you ever regretted joining the SKMB?

Nope. Not for one second. I am pretty isolated, as a stay at home mom. I wouldn't change being a stay at home mom for anything, but finding the SKMB has saved my sanity, I truly believe. I have made wonderful friends here. Spending time here has always been pure joy for me.

I've never regretted joining. I've gotten riled at some of the political posts on occasion but I try to steer clear of discussing religion or politics on here for the most part and so I don't post my brilliant rebuttals. What I do feel at times is guilt! Sometimes I have a lot of stuff to do but I can't tear myself away from reading everyone's posts.

I'm too new to have had time to form regrets, but I've never regretted joining any forum, even ones that I came to not enjoy later. Because no one's forcing me to read or to post. If I don't like it what I read, I can ignore it. I don't have to say anything, nor do I have to stay if I'm not having fun.

If there is regret, it's the time taken out of my life to post. But I enjoy it, and the time is mine to control as I will.

Have way too much fun here to regret it.

I like studying people and I've been able to do that here.

I've experienced great times here and I've made a lot of friends. I was one of the first Beta Testers.

I've also been called a bitch and even cussed out . . . I've seen some wars happen across these Boards and I've seen many members leave and return over and over again . . .sometimes with different names.

I'm cautious of how I post and I skip the drive-by-newsflash-politics-religion-crime-threads . . .hell, I can get that anywhere.

I love Stephen King and I am a member of this board and will be until I am no more.
