Hello all. I'm Nick Dupont.. A newbie here and while I only account for 1% of the population I look forward to getting to know the other 99%.. .

First off I would like to address the 1% I put in my heading and it means that out of the 16 known scientifically study personality types as an infj i tested as the rarest personality type accounting for only 1% of the population or less than the four largest cities in the world combined or about 70 million people worldwide which sounds like a lot but not when you are up against 7 billion.. I'll tell you all about what that is and it's extremely interesting & something you can partake in too but I do not want to be accused of trying to promote something I'm really not trying to promote. I love reading just one big problem I have extremely severe ADHD and I mostly have worked my life during the day and that is good for my medication but as you all know most ADHD medications are amphetamine based and so they keep you up so if I want to read a book when I come home it's when I'm coming down off of the medication and it just makes it even harder so my whole life I've largely been a movie person and have a collection of over 600 Blu-rays and at least a couple hundred DVDs and good collection of mostly Blu-ray TV shows. I think book readers and people that like live entertainment and movies can all get along even though sometimes it seems like they're at odds but I really didn't have a choice but now that I'm older my ADHD is under more control and I'm trying to branch out into reading more and more and I love horror movies more than anything so I couldn't think of any other better place to come than here too get ideas for new material to read and welcome any suggestions. I also have severe anxiety and I love going to the movies but I've largely pushed everyone out of my life mainly because they were all bad influences but I just didn't replace them with good influences LOL. I live within walking distance from a theater and I've lived here for five years and have only gone to the movies once by myself and that was to see the movie "IT". Loved every second and can't wait until the next one. Well I wish all a happy day and hopefully you will welcome me as you have welcomed others into your community. I come with wisdom maybe not some that you're used to but I like to think that I'm an interesting person to get to know so don't hesitate. Cheers from New Orleans..

I just want to thank you for liking my small but hopefully meaningful addition to this tight knit community. I'm very used to tighten it communities. I grew up a Jehovah's Witness all though my beliefs at this point in my life are.. . let's just say on hiatus. Growing up my mom was very superstitious and Stephen King was tantamount to the devil almost LOL I still have a lot of belief in what I was taught but I also see inconsistencies not just in my religion but in all religion and so we're not going to go there haha. Once I broke free (haven't practiced since I was 17) after dating for a little while I was introduced to the electronic music scene which was very exciting and I've always been very musically inclined playing piano and guitar ever since I was a toddler but after Katrina within a year-and-a-half or so I had severed my index finger almost completely off and was not able to reattach it or if I did it wouldn't work so there was no point. Boo hoo right! Yes will it did make me very unhappy and I craved musicality and just asking a mixologist aka DJ friend how to do it I was mixing within 4 hours which most people takes about 6 months and I'm not bragging as much as I'm saying that I found something that really excited me & the next day I went spend 3k on DJ equipment and then I started writing music blah blah blah. I got out of it years ago. I've been sober for 10 years now and I'm looking for another community of people that's very tight-knit and I'm hoping that this could be the start of something wonderful.

I totally understand if you're busy or do not talk to newbies but I just wanted to approach you and say hello personally. My name is Nicholas or Nick Dupont i'm 34, from New Orleans and I'm reaching out to see if you would like to share something with me whether it be a "penny for your thoughts" type deal or you have anything you would like to say on any matter even if it is personal which I don't expect but I certainly would not want somebody not to say something because they felt judged or embarrassed because I'm very forgiving and understanding because I have a very colorful past and don't have any right to judge others but of course eventually there are limits. We don't at any level support or condone cannibalism or incest or pedophilia, copaphilia or necrophilia.. beastiality ect.. . Those kinds of people are rare but rarer I think are there those that take it to a point where it becomes unpleasant or illegal. Therly are rare but real.. whether it be a tribal ritual that's learned or someone's morbid infatuation gone undiagnosed & horribly awry just the fact that you know that there are people out there that who actually do this which is hard to wrap your mind around & it's even harder to comprehend the actual Act personally so I would just like to hear back and get to know a little about your background but I understand if you wouldn't like that or for whatever reason at all you don't feel comfortable responding in any fashion to me.. I promise it's not going to offend me and I encourage you to tell me if that is how you feel. Or ignore me. Either way I get a lot of valuable information but that doesn't mean the information I get is bad if you decide not to respond. It just gives me insight as every action one partakes in essentially are in some small or some large way of what my initial thoughts are on you as a person but I have really cool edit button and you don't want to all be gluteus maximus so let's not always assume even though sometimes I think it's impossible. Personally I don't like people to send me negative things but I have no problem with constructive criticism and people expressing their opinion as long as they are open to other people's opinion. Whatever you have to say if anything I'd prefer positives if anything but of course I would like the most in-depth description of anything you don't think could be helpful or positive material and if there is something I'm not seeing now or later I'll promise to tell you the truth if you promise (well you don't even have to) I still will but if you're too busy or uninterested I totally understand and don't hold it against you or take it personally .

Cheers

Welcome Ndupont39! You are very unique in exactly the same way everyone else is. Enjoy the board, snoop around, there are a lot of good folks here. All the best, mal
Well of course I appreciate the thoughts and maybe it will strike you 2 tell me a little more about yourself and what you're looking to get out of this website or anyting you want to say. If you do not want to I will not be offended because I know that as a newbie I'm bottom of the totem and I get the whole point. I guess everybody's getting up. Must be time for me to go to sleep

Welcome, Nick. Even some of us who’ve been here a long time have been permanently relegated to live at the bottom of the SKMB totem pole. And it’s not that bad... We have scrapple. :)

Well if you saw me fight I think you would say that I don't leave anything. I put it all out and I do it as fast and as insane as possible lol but this is only in a serious situation where somebody threatening my loved ones for my own life. Actually I am not a violent person at all and don't even believe in corporal punishment because I was punished that way and I think some people say (& it can) borders on abuse.. . I'm not sure about that but with the right person doing too much too fast too hard. Not good for anyone but don't let all that I just said affect you because I'm a very laid-back person and for the easy to get along with. As on the things that should be honored are her respect' loyalty, truth, & integrity exc. At any rate I just look forward to finding my place among this community.

Howdy Nick. I come on to this board because I am a fan of the writings of Stephen King, our gracious host. I like the information I read, whether King related or not. I mostly don't have too much to say other than quips. I speak my piece from time to time but usually just try for a funny quip. Whether a newbie or an oldie, we are all part of the tet and our voices are heard. You are included in that. Post, post, post. Do you live in New Orleans? The wife and I may be visiting there in a year or so...All the best, mal

Hello! Well we certainly have the time to say hello. What are your favorite Stephen King books or movies? I’m fond of The Stand, but I think Pet Semetary was my first. Are you a DT fan?
There are so many worlds to explore on this board. I think you may find what you seek.
