I have written a program to rattle fb's proverbial cage that will hopefully see the light of day, a breath of the very freshest of air aka Krypton had its chance.....

I haven't had any negative impact from Twitter since I joined in 2012. I think they are a bit better than FB.

Yes they are better than FB, and Google is pretty bad in a whole lot of ways, also.

I've never used Facebook or Twitter. I really don't want to know what someone had for lunch or dinner or what drink they're having at a bar, etc. Sure, it's a great tool to keep in touch with people but so is a phone. Just sayin'.

Twitter seems even more like a hellhole based on my observations. Facebook is awful but is more closed off

I tried last week to open a Facebook account because I saw an old cousin who I haven't seen in about 50 years. In order to contact him I needed to create an account. I was only able to go so far as I didn't have a cellphone and they wanted me to text for verification. I'm sure there is a way around that but I took it as a sign to step back from account creation. As for contacting my old relative I just assumed I wouldn't like him and left it at that.
