Hello!
Big fans here - obviously - I (well, there's two of us, so we) are The Road Virus. We're a mobile bookstore that focuses on horror, suspense, the ... creepier side of literature.

Natch we're huge King fans, and named our book bus after his short story The Road Virus Heads North.

Excited to talk to other SK fans about some of our favorite books and stories - mine (I'm Em) is a tie between Desperation and The Green Mile (I got all the serialized releases when I was wee, and remember how hard it was to wait for the next installment to come out after I'd devoured the current one!).

Cheers!
Em and Sade

Welcome...

So, it is a bus or some other type of vehicle for your mobile bookstore? 1958 Plymouth Fury, 1953 Buick Roadmaster, Mercedes, Cujo’s Ford Pinto, Ice Cream Truck, Green Goblin, or a reckless minivan? Details are important. A bus just seems inappropriate. :)

It's a 1994 Bluebird - a retired schoolbus - she was retired then made into a bookmobile for a library for many years - then we purchased her! We're renovating the back half right now into a full time living quarters (have everything but the bathrooms plumbed) - she's got a gennie and 110V electrical throughout already! You can follow our journey at theroadvirus.com or on any social media site at @roadvirusbus (insta, twitter, fb, tumblr etc) and here is a pic of her and the design we're gonna have her vinyl wrapped with.

...Perry County Ohio by any chance?.....welcomes to you Virus, from the Bacteria of Boneheadedness...

Nope - this was Perry Country Indiana where she originated - we picked her up in MO and drove her to CA through some of the most harrowing weather I've ever experienced on the road - nevermind that it was our first time driving a 32 foot bus!
