Board Closings

Decorations to finish making and then put up, adult food to prepare and have set out before guests arrive, last minute cleaning, and keep an eye on the baby while her mother does her 2 hour hair and make up session before the party starts.

There will be a smash cake so she can use her hands to eat. They did a professional photo session this past weekend both for family photos to use for their Christmas cards and photos and a video of the baby with her first smash cake. She would stick her finger in the frosting and eat it and then look around at her parents like she wasn't sure if she was getting away with something. Here's a pic the photographers put up on their FB page with the caption "When cake gives you a sideways glance, you give that look right back."

I had more of all those sides when I was younger, now I'm turning into the grouchy old lady who is afraid of children touching her yard and smells like those gross Christmas candy ribbons that stick together with fuzz on them.

Back in the day, we had to wait every single day for the board to open. And every single weekend for the board to open Mondays. We had to walk up that closed board both ways, in the snow!
