Dear Mr. King
As a 56 yr. old female mystery and thriller lover, I truly appreciate your Holly Gibney character. There are many good books that feature tough and smart female characters (Dean Koontz's, Jane Hawk; Sue Grafton's, Kinsey Millhone; Patricia Cornwells, Kay Scarpetta; you get the picture) but my new personal favorite character is Holly Gibney. This is because I don't have to tax my imagination and twist her into someone I can relate as I have to do with others. I hope you write novels featuring Holly Gibney as a main character instead of just a secondary character.

I fully agree! Holly Gibney is rapidly becoming one of my favorite King characters. I loved her so much in this novel, that I immediately purchased the Bill Hodges trilogy (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch), just to read more about Holly.

I would also love to see a book (or books) where Holly is the main character. I get the feeling that she might possibly have some latent psychic abilities that haven't been fully developed, or even recognized? They give her a (for lack of a better phrase) sixth sense for investigating, particularly when the criminals are violent or other-worldly. I think these latent abilities also help her remain calm and focused in situations where everyone else is losing their minds. She doesn't crack under pressure, or flinch in the face of danger or fear, which balances out her personality quirks and awkwardness. There's more to Holly Gibney, and I want to read more about her.

Have read the Bill Hodges trilogy and The Outsider and when I read Holly Gibney's name on the back cover of Let It Bleed, it sealed the purchase. Let It Bleed is 4 stories, apparently Holly has a small part in the story Let It Bleed, am looking forward to reading all 4.
