Probably been covered, but I've intentionally not read these posts as I bought this book 2 days ago and didnt want to be spoiled, warned, but:

Spoilers

I am at the part where "George" arrives in Derry and it clicked that 1958 was the year of "It"! He stands outside Mr. Keene's drugstore and I just..... For lack of a better phrase, lost it.

Its like watching a movie and unexpectedly seeing a well known friend in it and you' get all " I KNOW THAT DUDE!". Grinning as I read on and can't wait to see what happens!!!

Ya, I'm still learning the formatting. If a mod could "spoiler" it for me.

Also, I have to take issue with Mr. King.

I get up every morning at 4 am to work out with my son. Last night, I kept saying "Two more pages", then " REALLY! TWO MORE PAGES AND ITS BEDTIME".

It was 230 am before I could force myself to put it down.

Doggone excellent writing and story!

Ugh!

You just described something he talked about in "Misery"! - The gotta.
Where the writer Paul Sheldon is saying he had to get to the point where the reader says "I gotta" (Like "I gotta see what happens next").

The gotta, as in: "I think I'll stay up another fifteen-twenty minutes, honey, I gotta see how this chapter comes out"
The gotta, as in:
I gotta know will she live.
I gotta know will he catch the sh*t-heel who killed his father.
I gotta know if she finds out her best friend's screwing her husband.

p.s. the above spoiler is nothing to do with 11/22/63, it is just a quote from Misery.

By the way - Misery is another good book. I really liked 11/22/63 - one of my favourites :love-struck:

Ya. Misery is one if my faves. I'm sure there was a lot of Mr. Kings fears coming out in that one!
