I went to visit my son in DC last spring and he introduced me to this show. lol He started me at the beginning and each night after sight seeing we would watch a couple of episodes. I loved it!! While I was there I had to find all the landmarks at the beginning of each show.. it was fun. Needless to say when I got home I ordered the boxed set of each season and have been waiting on pins and needles for this last season to be released on the 30th! I watched all of them(season 5) in two nights.. ughhhhh now the waiting game again! hahaha I will have to order the dvd set for this season to add to my others.

Deejers, I've just started (in the last couple of weeks) watching this, Kevin Spacey is amazing! (yeah, I know... I remember when I ragged him out for his part in American Beauty... he reeeeeally creeped me out in that!)
I'm really enjoying this.

And while I think that Kevin Spacey is a lecherous goon, I would've still watched him if they chose to keep him on. He was diabolically smarmy in this show and I loved his character. And apparently pretty close to the inner Kevin Spacey it would appear.

I can separate the public person from the private person to still enjoy a body of work -- even when the lines blur.

I just barely got started on this, anyone watching? What are your thoughts of the season?

It starts off pretty strong and interesting, does it maintain that level throughout?

I meant to say, this season I just barely started -- Robin Wright is president. Anyone who did a run and gun of the season, I would appreciate your overall thoughts on this season compared with the seasons with Kevin.

I just finished this last season minus Kevin Spacey and now led by Robin Wright. And while I 100% believe Spacey is a scummy guy, he is a very good actor. And I can separate the two. So, I was afraid that not having Frank Underwood wasn't going to have the same quality of sinister. Yes, Claire Underwood has always been just as deadly, but I didn't think it would be the same. I was wrong.

I thought this was a great season of House of Cards. And I absolutely loved the final scene. Which also means, no more

Doug Stamper! He was my favorite character and I'm not sure it will be the same without him.

That final scene echoed the very first scene of Season 1 with Frank Underwood talking about two types of pain -- and then breaking the dog's neck. Claire echos this by talking about two types of pain and then saying the exact same words while smothering Doug -- "There. No more pain."

Brilliant.

Was this the final season? It would be a great ending to it all. Even though the whole ballet of her politics would play on. And now Claire as

a mother! Oh boy!
