We had a heck of a storm Friday afternoon. 4 tornadoes touched down. 2 were little. 1 was stronger. The worst was officially rated an EF3. Rare for this area.

All of them were north of me, but only between 6-10 miles from us. That is as close as I ever want to be. We could not see anything from here, there are some hills in the way, but all the action was just over those hills. Very close.

The biggest one completely destroyed 7 homes. Damaged another 15 in some way or another. Only 2 people were injured, and minor at that. Everyone was pretty lucky.

This one was closest to us. This pic was taken from the interstate one exit east of us. If the storm had been moving S, SE instead of N, NE, it would have hit us.

This picture floored me. You can see the stairs sitting intact still, the pile of pallets and a woodpile, completely untouched. Yet the whole house is gone.

Big thunderstorm here in Winnipeg with high winds, lots of rain and hail in some areas. 5000 people woke up without power today (glad I wasn't one of them!)

Some areas outside of the city reported tornado-like conditions
