How can it rain all day yesterday and never get above 26 degrees F? Dealt with a lot of ice last night and again this morning.
We went up to a balmy minus 9 yesterday - I was so excited I actually got in the truck and returned four books to the library

(But actually it was early morning before the library opened and I was in my PJs under my coat) :highly_amused::facepalm_smiley:

Could have been worse - I could have gone shopping at WalMart like that
:hopelessness:

Been in the high 80's all week. Cold front coming through and tonight will be low 30's. Might make 50's today. Spring has not sprung!!
I went out and covered all my bulbs that were sprouting -- good thing! It has snowed a few times.

Also, been putting out seed for my quail. BUT, doves and squirrels -- the Thugs of Nature (not to be confused with the Gangs of New York) come in and go all Sharks and Jets on the territory that is my patio. Minus the great pirouettes. So aggressive!

But, every once in a while, my fat little quail waddle in and kick the seed around and make me smile. I am going to have so many baby quail in my back yard this spring. I love it.

Today is the first day in over a week where we have not gotten up to a negative temperature wind chill. Yesterday was the first day we actually climbed above a negative wind chill.
I just reread this and it sounds different than I meant it. When I said not gotten up to...I meant when we dragged ourselves out of bed, where it was nice and warm.

Just wanted to correct myself because it sounds dumb the way I wrote it. ;;D

Saw a meme the other day that said that the groundhog was right...except for you Wyoming. Your weather does it's own thing.

:D
As well it should...lol Looking very forward to going back someday. There wasn't any part of that state that I didn't enjoy traveling thru. Everyone I came across in Wyoming from one end to the other was so nice and polite. I had a really hard time leaving your state, Cat, I didn't want to come home..lol I'd love to see a Wyoming winter. We never get much of a winter here.
