Hope you don't get too much - up here it is starting to get cooler and they are predicting a harsh winter.

We need a harsh winter down here to thin out the iguana and python populations. We haven't had any substantial (for South Florida) cold weather since 2008 or 2009 and our little non native friends are going wild and moving a little farther North. It takes temps less than 40 degrees for 8 to 10 hour stretches to start thinning out the population.

Supposed to be around 39 degrees on Thursday, so it will probably melt. But, yes, that is the white stuff I was referring to. The "S" word. :)
We're going down to low temps tonight - they said 1 C but with the wind chill it will feel like freezing (below zero). I covered up the plants but not sure how long I can keep doing that. Winter is on its way for sure.

Oh heck, hide these posts from Marsha...
No snow in our forecast yet, although the higher elevations in southwestern Maine did a day or two ago. I was checking out flight times/prices yesterday to go back to AZ. Knowing I have that to look forward to will help keep my attitude adjusted in a positive direction between now and then. ;)

It's been hot and dry on the mountain. All the grass is burnt. On top of that, I've reached the age of perpetually feeling hotter that 40 hells.....I swear, I'm gonna spontaneously combust any minute now.
On the bright side, I'll probably save a lot on the heating bill this winter, as I won't even need to turn it on!
