We had a lovely day yesterday and today is also supposed to be warm but there is a weather warning that we could have some snow on Friday!

Wow - it is 20 right now so that's hard to imagine.

My sunflowers are so tall I would have to get on a ladder in order to drop a sheet over them

These are the free seeds I got from the back of my cereal box

I've seen some butterflies that look like monarchs landing on them but not a lot of bees (mostly they go for the flowers on the deck)

On Saturday I jump in the car to leave at 5:30am. There was frost on the windshield. It’s way too early to have the scraper in the car. Didn’t have time to defrost the windshield so took off, hunched over, feeling like Quasimodo, looking through the little area I could see the road through the steering wheel.

It was almost 80 degrees today. There's a winter weather advisory for tomorrow night. Forecast is predicting a possibility of over 12 inches of snow. Seriously?!
Here too. Winter storm warning from noon today to 6 am Friday. 6-11 inches, (have seen different maps that say 14+!) blowing snow and wind chills around 1F expected. Already sleeting, snow supposed to start around 2 this afternoon.

Oh it's okay. They're forecasting darker periods towards evening.
How do you like that nice wet snow today?

Yesterday I had already picked all my green tomatoes but the sunflowers are looking quite sad now :confusion::culpability: They're way too tall to cover up with sheets :apologetic:

I picked a couple of the flower heads off to put in a vase with one other I had found broken off two days ago.

Guess Fall is officially over and Winter is just starting :flat:

It is flat out snowing already. Can see it swirling off the neighbor's roof, I hope we don't have drifts form quickly. I have to get Ali to the dentist this afternoon. Ugh!
Sending you a "bug hug" Cat :cheerful:

(I picked about 15 Asian lady bugs off of the two flower heads I brought in from the cold)
