....got to see it once, from the shore of a remote lake WAY outside Nakina, Ontario....was on a fishing trip......and for the only time in my life-I felt very small.....Well in Vancouver (Canada) it has been pouring for the past few days but that is just the way it is here.
Has anyone saw the Aurora Borealis last night, it is supposed to be visible even over the great lakes and
SW British Columbia too. Too cloudy here last night to see anything, but it is supposed to happen at
least another 2 nights so may get lucky and see it. There was a write uo about it on the MSN homepage
yesterday.
Sandy, I'd love to see the Northern Lights. I hope you have your camera with you. Do you still take photographs?Well in Vancouver (Canada) it has been pouring for the past few days but that is just the way it is here.

....this was back in 2000, when I went with a group of guys that included my Uncle and my Dad...Unc goes every year with the same Outfitter who leases different lakes, but it was special because Dad and I hadn't been fishing together in a long time.....we fished primarily for Walleye....man that is a tasty game fish when first cleaned and thrown in some cornmeal/flour and fried!....the group hooked some Perch as well, but the biggest thing you had to fight around with was Northern Pike-those damn "snakes" will bite on anything!......GNTLGNT
Yes, I am told they are a humbling sight. One day I will get to see them. What were you fishing for in Ontario?
Pickerel? Trout? I have always wanted to go fishing for halibut in the North.
My heart is sick for them. Water damage is just a nightmare to deal with, and I hope everyone and animals were safe and found and taken in.More photos:
Thank you lovey, this is all happening in Aussie right now, we're good here. Apparantly the storm cell is headed our way from tomorrow probably, but it should have lost much of it's power by then.FlakeNoir Prayers for all in the flood areas. Be safe!
....property is eventually replaceable....I hope there is no to very low death toll in this.....
