Thankful you and dogs are safe. Be very careful until all is back to normal. Trees can be weak and still fall. Safety vibes.

Yes I am careful while I walk with the dogs, There is a lot of trees near the road where we walk everyday. Horses was also okay after the storm. I had to go and
check on Star. But she was doing fine. And the storm is gone and we got power back and all are well. Thank you for the safety vibes. :love_heart:

Wish I could but I don't think United would be willing to make a detour. I don't usually go in October so this will be a different trip for me as far as the return to Maine. In the spring the weather is better when I get home than when I left it but definitely won't be the case this time so I'll have even less motivation to come home. :(
Where are you off to? Arizona?

Yes, this is my Arizona trip. Looking forward to some warm weather before heading into the deep freeze until next spring.
That's a great plan! Hope you have a lovely trip and enjoy the heat and sunshine

Mother Nature showed us today what she is capable of. This time the storm hit us really bad. Tree and traffic sign fell on the road, pretty hard waves at sea ( I saw pictures people had posted on FB) a busy day for firefighters and electricity company. We got power outages this morning when I went out with the dogs
around 6.30am before work, So I ate my breakfast and the only light I had was from my cell phone. It was dark at that time.

I had to take some pictures.

Usually at this time of the morning the lights are on at this road where I live and where I walk with my dogs. But not this morning when the storm hit us
and we lost electricity. I was just out with the dogs when they went off. Rest of our walk we did in the dark.

This is a picture of my apartment. AND NO I have not turn the light off. In this dark apartment I ate my breakfast. Thankfully the cell phone light saved my
morning.

A picture I took after the storm. A tree had fall down and take the root with it. That is a root that you see there. There was much more fallen trees in the woods.

I was at work when the worst storm was over us and it sometimes felt like soon the storm is taking the roof of the building I was work in. The whole
building was shaking and kept noise. It was very scary. We human are very small when Mother Nature show us her forces. Thankfully no one was hurt
and all are safe and OK after the storm. Now it has calm down.
Happy you are safe.

I have to share this though it was last Sunday, but it's so unbelievable. Last Sunday we had summer. It was 22C and sun shine the whole day, some
people was actually wearing shorts and T shirts in October, this can't happening. It has to do with the global warming and that is scary.
Here is a picture I took from my cars thermometer. And the clock was almost 4.30 pm

But now it's cold again. Let's say normal temperatures for this time of the year. around 5 Celsius and even colder. Next week snow might come in some part
of Finland.

We had this rare occurrence here in Winnipeg yesterday as well, with the temperature climbing to just over 22° C - we broke 20 year old records.

But, just like you, it was probably just a freak thing and we will soon go back to the colder temperatures and risk of snow.

That's a pretty fancy gadget you have on your vehicle! Cool! My old 2007 Jeep Liberty is not that advanced - what kind of car do you have?

We broke a record too! 20°C today... With Christmas decorations everywhere in town. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. :dread:

Christmas decorations seem to be on the shelves earlier every year. I don't think Christmas merchandise or décor should be out until
after Remembrance Day. It seems disrespectful. Just my opinion. :(

I have to agree with you - why can't they wait until November 12th to drag out all the merchandise at the stores, decorate etc.? Here in Winnipeg the city puts up the lights around mid November, just around the time of our Santa Claus parade.

By the way our weather is cold and yucky - we have snow on the ground, maybe about an inch or two :snowman: (not enough to build a snowman - ha!)

We had our first snow last night, not much but it's snow. Temperature was down to minus 5.
Today is cloudy and cold. Here's a pic from the weather cam, about 10 minutes ago.View attachment 28080

Here's one from our Assiniboine Park - those geese should be flying south by now!
