Not sure angry is the right word....but today is not off to a good start.

I woke to a beeping noise. The first number on the clock was a 5...the rest don't matter. I rolled over and the beeping became a thumping. Finally gave up trying to go back to sleep when the first number on the clock was a 6. I realize the beeping that woke me up was the back-up beeper on the truck and the thumping was the spinny thing in the truck bed that shoots salt out.

Crawled downstairs and decided I would have a coffee before heading out in the sub-zero temperature to put out my garbage. It's usually picked up between 7:30-8:15. Suddenly there's lots of noise outside, I look and see the guy walking away carrying my garbage. It's only 6:40. Fine...whatever....to late now. Go back to my coffee.

Then I hear the truck again. They've come back to pick up more garbage....but of course, I didn't get mine out in time.

Hoping my day improves.

First it got worse...but then it improved.

I was rearranging my Christmas Village.

I took off everything but the buildings, straightened the snow (a bit) and was replacing all the trees and people. I dropped one. It missed the tv screen, but hit below the screen. And the guy's head popped off. I was trying to figure out how to cover this very obvious white scratch before my husband gets home from Fort Mac. And searching for the head before my granddaughter shows up. Guarantee she'd find it and pop it in her mouth.

DS find the head. I throw it away. Then I ask him what he thinks I should cover the white scratch with. He looks, smirks, and says "It's the sensor light". So I hugged him.

See how good the day got....hugged my teen and he didn't squirm away.

I have a teen too, I understand what you mean. I'm more frustrated than angry. I'm moving across the country and it's just not an easy process. I have most people telling me (mom especially) it's a bad idea, you can't do this, this is a huge mistake. moving back home is what I've wanted for the past seventeen years.
I can understand people who think that Maybe it's not the best time, or I haven't planned ahead enough, and those people aren't me. The few who do understand know that I have to do this, I should have done it sooner.
I'm making the best decision I can for myself and my kids.
What angers me if that the family and close friends I've contacted so far are not exactly welcoming. That's okay too.

This time angry is the right word.

I get that with this much snow (I tried to post a picture, but again the forum won't allow it. whatever) some places will not be open. I get that.

BUT

Call in and change your outgoing phone message to advise people your business is not open. AND check your messages and call back customers who call to ask.

One place (government) the website says to make sure the office is open as some in the city are closed today. But when you call, you just get a machine which after pressing several buttons and waiting several minutes just gives you the opportunity to leave a message.

Second place we actually have an appointment. No answer, and they are not returning my call. And the office is on a street that's horrible to drive even in good weather.

Damn talk to the manager and he says I will get back to you in 48 hrs,I must look at the camera. LOL Like he can see anything with the washing things flapping back and forth. So I called the police to make out an report. Nope they don't come ut on these type calls. civil, you must take them to court. Call my insurance. Yep I will be biting the deductable.

I'm sorry to hear this. Will the windshield be ok if you let it be through the holidays? I mean, I know you have to make claim, etc., but this isn't the best time to deal with it if you have family coming. Hope your deductible isn't too much.

I think I just stepped in a biiiiig pile of doody.

I had mentioned on the forum, how upset I was that I spent $40-$50 dollars plus over 100 hours to make a stocking, then they used a store bought one. Well, today the babies grandma sent me a pm asking me if I could make a stocking for the babies mom. (The babies dad and his sister still have and use the ones made for them as kids.)

I had been toying with the idea of making one for the mom, but that was before the one I made for baby wasn't used. Seeing that picture really hurt.

So, I replied that I was confused since I saw the picture of the store bought stocking used at Christmas.

After someone else commented on the cute stocking in the picture, the picture was deleted. Unfortunately....I cannot I see it.

Why am I the one feeling so bad?
