My doctor never bothered to tell me about hospice. I have to get them to come in when I have 6 months or less to live, or the police will be involved when I die.
I have someone from hospice coming to see me Thursday to discuss what I need, and things.
I go Friday to my doctor, and I am telling her to sign off on me for hospice.
Then I won't have to see her again, hospice will take care of what meds I need.
Is she milking my Medicare for all she can? That is what I am thinking.

....I don't know about the abuse of Medicare, but Hospice is a wonderful group of people....heroes that make you comfortable and help your family adjust and come to grips with your passing.....blessings be.....

THE HEAT. :icon_evil: Old news, I know. But my whole life is on hold. I can't do anything else than just sitting inside the house. For three frickin' weeks now. I try to make myself as useful as possible by doing as much normal things as I can (the dishes, vacuuming, etc.), but going outside is hardly an option. I have health issues, so going outside is actually dangerous for me right now. I love my house dearly and I love being at home, but this just feels like I'm grounded.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Wait for your opportunity to exit to the great outdoors. It'll come. In the meantime maybe start a hobby or catch up on your reading. All the best, mal

Hospice is awesome. They help you and your family. They eased the passing of both my dad and grandmother.

I know this is the angry thread, but since I posted the sad story here yesterday, I am posting this one to balance things out a bit. This made me smile!:)
