So, I know this is a long shot, but I also know that I need to try. I have looked all over online and it seems that there is no way to contact Stephen King (totally understandable, pretty sure I would hide too if I were him) But, I figured I would post my letter to him here, on the off chance that someone reading it may have a way to contact him.

Dear Mr. King,

My husband is a huge fan of yours. Not in a creepy way (I don't think) But, in a he has read every single one of your books several times sort of way. His 40th birthday is coming up in September. I so badly want to do something memorable and meaningful for him. I know this is so far fetched, but I was wondering if there would be any way to meet you? I have decided that a trip away could be nice (we have 4 kids) I have heard that Maine is gorgeous. Unfortunately our finances are somewhat tight right now, and I am really struggling to figure out something great that is also affordable. Its complicated because I know he feels horrible about how our finances are right now, and would not even want me to spend on him at all. But he is a wonderful husband and father, and deserves so much. Many of his past birthday gifts have been your most recent book at the time. Again, I know this is a big ask. But I also knew I would regret not even trying. I didn't mean to say I wasn't a fan of yours as well... I have read a few of your books and while I believe you are ridiculously talented, I also value my sleep at night :)

Anyway, thank you for reading this.

Sincerely, HidK81

...welcome!....personal meetings are a non-starter...I can tell you that in full faith that the Moderator will agree....only because EVERYONE would like a session with the Inkslinger and that’s impossible...however, several reputable dealers could locate you a verified signed book.....Betts Books and Gerald Winter and Sons to name but two...I wish you much success...your heart is very much in the right place...

Welcome to SKMB - I think this is but a "pipe dream" - perhaps he will meet him in his dreams

Just try to buy him a King book perhaps (there are so many out there and some can be found at thrift shops for a reasonable price) - Good Luck!

Alternatively, Does anyone know if there is anything Stephen Kingy (other than meeting Stephen King) to do in Maine?
....plenty of sites that are familiar from the books and internetscattered around town and the local Visitors Bureau can get you some info...by sites I mean things like The Standpipe and Kings original home is gorgeous as well....

He does book tours (I dunno if he's doing one this time) but depending on where you decide to go, you can always see if he'll be anywhere near you.

I got a signed copy of one of his books when I went to see him in Omaha, and that was a 5 hour drive for me.

Best of luck.

Wow - meet him in HIS dreams? I meant your husband will meet him (Mr. King) in HIS dreams (your husbands) - or maybe that came out right and I'm just reading it wrong now.
