I guess maybe I cheated a bit on this one. It had been ages since I'd read the story when I decided to watch the movie so I barely remembered the details in the story. But I think even if I had of remembered the story, I would still love the movie.

It's one of those movies that I start in on and must finish it. The imagery ... such as that evil dog on the roof, the dirt and worms in the plane, the irritating way it takes forever to get a glimpse of his real face ... all excellent imho.

Plus, I've always adored vampires and vampire stories. I loved the way he mesmerized his victims with the handsome face and how they mostly went willingly with him.

This movie makes it on my October horror marathon each and every year. I'm always surprised at the amount of people who haven't seen it or heard of it and I'm always trying to get people to watch it. It's one of my favorites.

I've never seen it, but you certainly made me interested enough to look into it.

I thought it was decent, Miguel Ferrer was great as Dees, I think he was a very underrated actor. I wonder is it true what it says on it's wiki page, that SK co-wrote a sequel that was cancelled due to lack of funding? Maybe Mrs. Mod could shed some light on that?

Sounds familiar but not 100% sure as there have been so many projects over the years that were optioned but never made it to the screen, that I could be confusing it with something else.

I'd imagine the amount of material under consideration is mind boggling, would have been interesting to see where SK would have gone with it :) . Many thanks for the reply Mrs. Mod.
