It just popped into my head, do you remember Little House on the Prairie? The first book in the series, Little House in the Big Woods, told about how you could make maple syrup candy on snow.. they did theirs by putting the snow in a pan, and inside the house, but pretty much however it works for you I guess..

What's snow again....? Once in a very great while, it'll dust enough to turn the ground sort of white. And people go buy snow tires and chains, which I'm sure is hilarious to any northerners who happen to be down at the time. :chuncky:
Same here. At the first forecast of possible snow here people clean out walmart like it's the approaching zombie apocalypse and go rogue squirrel. There's not a flat surface in this city but you'd think we live in the Yukon Territory from the way people react to winter weather...lol

We had the same thing happen here. Everybody buys dairy products and fresh beef. In other words perishables. If the power goes out they'll have to stick everything outside on the snow. Funny.
