Ok I've got some vacation time coming up and I'm wanting to do something different. I know I can visit the 10 must see places

The Bangor Waterworks
1 Waterworks Rd, Bangor

Mount Hope Cemetery
1048 State Street, Bangor

Thomas Hill Standpipe
Thomas Hill Road, Bangor

Corner of Jackson and Union Streets

Paul Bunyan Statue
Bass Park

Dysart's Truck Stop
530 Coldbrook Rd, Hermon

Bangor International Airport
287 Godfrey Blvd., Bangor

The New Franklin Laundry
125 Fern Street, Bangor

Hampden Academy
Main Road North, Hampden

Stephen King's House

But what after that? I'll have to investigate to find the reservoir talked about in Dreamcatcher is real or maybe the spot where Rose Madder picnicked and found the Fox (doubtful) any other locations do you think are real?

Welcome to the Board!

The Quabbin Reservoir from Dreamcatcher is in Massachusetts.

Hi there 20GT

We went to most of these locations last summer - you might have some trouble with the Waterworks as it has been turned into what looks like an assisted living centre.

(Missed the New Franklin Laundry!) We also skipped the Hampden Academy

Moose Island. I think King used the idea of Moose Island in The Colorado Kid. The first episode of the original Superman series with George Reeves has Jimmy Olson going to Moose Island to see his aunt. I don't know if the old mill is still around, the one in 'Graveyard Shift'. I'd like to check out a bar called Benjamin's if it is still around.
