There are a lot of things they would not show today, (cough) anything Mel Brooks for instance. Blazing Saddles is one of the funniest films ever made.I don't think they'd allow it to be rerun on TV today.
Jeopardy, not The Price is Right.I asked Marsha about the X-Files episode, she said that Steve met David Duchovny when they were on an episode of The Price is Right, David mentioned the idea of Steve writing an episode. Steve, weirdly, had not checked out the show, did so, liked it, then agreed to do an episode. Which became "Chinga". He was supposed to write another episode I believe but he was busy with a book at the time, Bag of Bones I believe.
My humblest apologies.Jeopardy, not The Price is Right.
I thought that Supernatural would be a great show for Steve. The thing about Supernatural is that it has a plot and a formula, like you said, which could just keep going and going.I'd say Black Mirror, or the new CBS Access Twilight Zone. Or, maybe more appropriately, Creepshow. Instead of someone else adapting a tale, I mean.
But, I have to say, Supernatural is a really good suggestion. That has become a favorite of mine, the producers really happened upon a good formula with a great cast. Lot of fun. For that show, I would recommend a standalone Halloween episode (unfortunately, it will never come to pass now, as that series will be wrapping up).
I also second the idea of a Modern Family Halloween outing. That show was pretty good with the holiday, and King could have made it even better. Maybe he should have guest-starred on one of them...move next door, and everyone says, that looks just like Stephen King. And the dog he's got looks just like Cujo. Too bad that show is gone now (but there is hope if a spin-off is developed)...
No worries, just don't want future generations to think he'd been on The Price is Right. My humblest apologies.
God forbid Steve goes on the Price is Right. No worries, just don't want future generations to think he'd been on The Price is Right.
