Several years ago, I babysat one of my nieces fairly often. My SIL had DVR and all that jazz, so this was on all.day.long. One day at nap time, she REALLY didn't want to sleep. After I sang to her and closed the door, she started crying for someone to help her out of nap time. "Mom, Dad, Mickey, Goofy..." I laughed so hard.

I only thought I was done with Spongebob. My son watched it all day every day when he was young. Spongebob birthday parties, his whole room was Spongebob themed...now.....of course, my fiancee's 2 year old has latched on this cartoon sponge spawned from the depths of hell so it looks like I'm in for round 2 of Spongebob and his evil sidekick Patrick......I think every time I hear the theme song I go a little more insane...lol
my favorite character is Gary

I do like that Spongebob is a throwback to the time when cartoons were just that. The show doesn't make any sense, it's just pure entertainment for kids. It's hard to beat cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Foghorn Leghorn for pure silliness but Spongebob definitely falls into that category...

These still crack me up....lol

The oldies are Sooo much the goodies. We've lost more talent, and common sense, in the previous five years than the past 50.

Love the old times when comedy showed true values...
