Just heard this one on the news at noon:

Chocolate Spills, and Brown Goo Closes a Polish Highway - The New York Times

See now... I would be lying in the middle of that road, making Chocolate Angels. :m_facial:
(very glad to read that the driver only had minor injuries)

Royal Wedding Saturday. Yep, I will be watching.

I watched Diana and Charles.
I watched Kate and William.
I will watched Harry and Meghan.

Will anyone else be watching?

Nope.

Just don't understand the whole Royals fascination. My country rebelled because we didn't want to pay the King's silly taxes! Why should I care about his distant offspring o_O

I can understand your point of view. My Mom was from Scotland however and always liked to watch what was going on "on the other side of the pond". Plus - Meghan is an American! This is historic

I do think we are being inundated with way too much media hype (that is for sure) :m_shy:

I did watch some of Diana and Charles because I had to get up early for work anyway. I am sleeping in Saturday, but may turn it on when I get up.

I do actually love the pageantry of our political structure. But, I also feel a bit guilty about that. While I have native ancestry, my dil and granddaughter are Native.

I know - not a problemo

Here is a sort of yucky story we were treated to this morning on our news :barf:

Ummmm - well I thought of including the video but it's pretty graphic - she must be insane or something - they said she could not use the washroom so she proceeded to poop on the floor, then picked it up and flung it at the employee.

She was arrested and will appear in court :a24:

(It was at a Tim Horton's in Langley, BC)

bet they had a hard time moving those chocolate crullers after that, eh?

The video is on YouTube - the part that gets me is she grabs some paper napkins, wipes her butt, then casually strolls out of the restaurant.

Same here. I'm glad we got the concepts of a bicameral legislature, common law, jury trials, and language from the mother country. I'm sure glad we did away with the silly wigs in court and the whole royalty thing. But there is a lot of sincere and heartfelt enjoyment of the tradition out there, and I'm not belittling that.

Maybe something like this happened?

This looks like a safe place...

An El Paso, Texas, man busted into a church and absconded with the safe. Safes are heavy, so he only got a few yards before dropping it on a neighbor’s lawn, where he tried to crack it open. That’s when he was confronted by the home’s occupant—a police officer.

I saw this last night. I can't understand why anyone would think this was okay. I mean, put her in the zoo with the other poo-slingers if she can't function in civilized society. Good grief!!

And I was told that Tim's has an open policy regarding bathrooms; non-customers can use them. So who knows what she was really mad at.

This particular person had caused problems in the bathroom previously. She was banned from using it. (The article I read did not specify what she had done previously...and I did not search to find out.)
