I don`t know anything , about US Providers and their Routers/Modems
German Providers always sell a Fritz Box.
These Routers are Secure,easy to handle

It says WPA2 right in my settings, so yes we are using that.

No - nothing wrong there (you're quite smart and don't put yourself down!)

- my poor son got scammed by some guy who claimed to be from Microsoft - it was pretty bad - it was a damn shame what they did to his computer once he allowed them to have remote access to it!
