...oh I see how it is!!!!!...vacation in Florida, not Ohio!....there's plenty of early-bird buffets and golf carts here too!...
Today, I read on the beach, listening to the waves crash. And when I told my beloved to fetch me a snack, he brought me bacon in a ziplock bag. I read Firestarter with my chair at the edge of the surf, whilst eating bacon. I am not in Florida, I am in Paradise.

That was my life down here for the first few months, but alas, reality kicked in. It loses it's luster when you live here all year and have to contend with 90 degree weather on Christmas day. On those days, you miss home:apologetic:

....I'll remember that when I'm snarfing down buckets of bacon and packages of beer-or summpin' like that, after the Reformatory Tour.....

I was wondering if anybody would catch that, so few people have actually seen it.
I have, and the first time I watched it I nearly sh@t my pants. One of few horror movies that actually made me a wee bit scared to turn off the lights. It also has a nice quote about the guy whos message board we're on, ”You can forget about Stephen King, Cane outsells them all”.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of rewatching this movie long after 1995, and, well... suffice to say that it worked better the first time around. Still, it's a classic Carpenter movie, see it if you haven't.

Hey everyone, just registered here to engage in conversations about the works of my favorite author. I'm 31 years old, living in Tampa Florida currently.

I've been a "Constant Reader" since I was about 10 years old, and my mother gave me the paperback edition of Firestarter during a road trip from Pennsylvania to Georgia (presumably to keep me quite) and I fell in love with it. I may be the only fourth grader in history to have ever written a book report on it for school. Afterwards I began reading anything I could find by him.

My favorite King Novel is "Pet Semetary" simply because, as a child growing up in the late 80's and early 90's, I was exposed to horror almost since birth, and in my entire childhood nothing ever actually scared me except that book.

I just happened to stumble upon this site while google searching reviews for "Mr. Mercedes" and after reading threw a few threads figured this would be a cool place to stop by from time time and chat, so hopefully I'll be talking to all of you soon.

Thanks
