Not sure why that's happening. Are you highlighting the words you want hidden and then choosing the Spoiler icon from the drop down menu? I can see what you were trying to do when I do the Reply (before hitting Post Reply) but the first spoiler tag's bracket is at the end of the words that should be hidden rather than at the end of the word SPOILER.

An aside: Skimom, on Hannibal -- what I disliked about the character progression is the author's insistence on giving the serial killer a motive and a justification for his indiscretions, as if we are supposed to feel some sympathy. I also didn't care for how he sort of turned into a superhero. I do have to say, though, the current TV series is one of the best shows I have ever watched, and it really isn't my type of show, either (i.e., it focuses on style and cinematography over plot, although there is obviously a plot, the kind I avoid usually -- Gothic soap-opera type).

Agreed. The menace of Hannibal is diminished by making him sympathetic. What Harris did with Clarice in Hannibal was criminal, too--just a violation of character for the sake of fashion and pandering. I dropped cable right after the first season of the TV show, so I haven't seen past that. What I did see, I liked--the casting was interesting and the scripts almost hypnotic.

Book THREE is going to rock. Was happy with this one. For me, I don't like to read any of the reviews or even the summary because I want to immerse myself in the characters. It was nice to see some old friends (and jack-hole, ha!), but it was cool to see some new characters and a different perspective. Can we say the GREASY character in this book was quite vile and disgusting. You can really feel his slime! That's what I liked!
