Somewhere over the Rainbow
I once sold Tim Daly underwear. And I asked for his ID because he used a credit card, as I was supposed to. He said, "Do I not look like who I'm supposed to be?" And I said, "I don't know who you're SUPPOSED to be."

That has nothing to do with anything but I thought it was funny.

Even more so since I've thought he was sexy since I was, like, eight.
So, OK, I am a girl and this is a totally legit question and since noone asked, ummm, was it boxers or briefs? :bashful:HA!

re: brushes with fame. I've experienced almost 20 of these, with varying degrees of celebrity. And varying degrees of those around me who also recognize the celebrity. I suppose we all work in public to some extent, but wouldn't it be strange to be going about your personal business or entertainment with people commenting on your work. Shared moments with familiar strangers I'll never know has certainly added to my life experience, and hopefully not detracted from theirs.

I totally want to tell you but I'm not so sure that would be very nice of me. I have to value his privacy as a human being. I'm so sorry.

Just know that whatever they were they would have been sexy!

It's so hard because I mean for most of us, opportunities like that come usually once in a life time. So I guess it would be hard to maintain composure and resist the urge to say hello the person you admire because you never know when he'll be doing a book signing and such. I respect the fact that he doesn't want to want to be one of those famous people who needs and feeds on the constant attention fans have. I mean come on why would you want to book one of the Kardashians or cast from Teen Mom to go to your party? To what stand their and pretend they're interested in you for $300,000 an hour? But still yeah you have to respect his privacy and just hope when you run into him he is just sitting in the park or walking down the street or you get to go to one of his book signings.

I hope some day I run into him at near days end.. you know, right around story before bed time. Some of my kids could do with a bloody decent scary night time story, you know? I bet THEN, they'd start listening to their mother! ;)

Most celebrities are nice as long as their personal space and privacy is respected.
I am a hopeless case, I smile and say hello to any and everyone I have seen before, and that goes for people I have seen on TV/movies/concerts, too.
I once felt very offended because this woman I (thought I) knew didn't smile and say hi when I passed her on the street. A moment later I realized it was a famous tv personality, who had never seen me before - but I had seen her face on TV all my life.:bashful:

I met him when he was here filming Storm of the Century--have a picture taken with him somewhere. He was really nice and very easy to talk to. Something for the Stephen King Trivia that may not have been mentioned before--too hard for me to keep up--is that he had been offered the part of Jack Torrance for the mini-series but turned it down and eventually Steven Weber (both of whom played in Wings) ended up in the role. For that matter, it was beginning to look like no one would take the part because they didn't want to follow in Jack Nicholson's shoes.
I miss Wings! :)
