Just the way it's spelled.

Of course, I always pronounced Sauron as Saw Ron, until those movies came out and Peter Jackson insisted that Tolkien (who was a linguist) wanted it pronounced Sow Ron.

Ultimately, I suppose it doesn't matter.

Interesting - I did not know Tolkien was a linguist. I think it would be interesting to study linguistics.

Well, I think I'll not even bother trying because... what I say, will not be what you hear... :laugh:

That's one of the things I love about reading King! So many of his stories have words which are open to interpretation in regard to their pronunciation. For me, it becomes even more real, it makes the story even better when it's almost personalized like that. It sounds how I want it to sound. :joyous:
