Sometimes searching the web seems endless.

It seems fair to say that King could easily add as many Wind Through the Keyhole books as he wanted to. Don't Roland and his ka-tet (shouldn't spell check on this forum know ka-tet? Jeez.) need to get down to some fire side stories once in a while? King could keep us enthralled for years adding The Dark Tower 2.4, 3.8, 4.6, etc.

Anyone know what he's said?

I think a Constant Reader has to submit a proposal through the proper channels. Those old bucks, Ben Jonson, Sir Walter Raleigh, Curious George, & Lancelot Link, they like different things, and the trick is to know what those things are...pipe tobacco, face powder, paper boats, & bananas...seem to have worked it in the past...but the last proposal that included those items was met with disdain. Word is that now one needs to make a very public display...outside the window of the Fox studio during Fox & Friends. Best of luck! :)

Disdain? Oh Discordia.

I would hope there would be more to the stories. Side stories, references, whatever. Something to let me know for sure the story is still unfolding. That sounds so silly to type, but...shucks, I got really attached. Anne Rice extended her vampire series to mixed reviews. Some of them were very good, some not so much...the thing is the basic story will stay the same. New books expand the story or characters...and if certain constant readers aren't in love with the new ones, they don't have to read them. Wind Through the Keyhole is not a major book in the series if you ask me, but it was a lovely story just the same. I'd love more off-shoot stories. I will always want to read about Roland's return to his home after Wizard and Glass and the fall of Gilead.

Yeah, would like to know what's happened when Gilead fell, all that Revolution and death of Roland's father, how he started to pursuit the man in black? What's happened when Shimy come in Gilead? A lot of such questiones.

The questions that nag at me are exactly what happened to Alain & Cuthbert, and who the heck is Jamie DeCurry? Roland thinks about him quite often but they're passing thoughts--no detail.

BUT.

I LIKE wondering about these things. I'm not so sure I want all of my questions answered. It's like real life, in that way--we can never know the whole story of anything; even most explanations are bunk, created to give us a 'closure', even when there isn't really any (Mr. King posited that so very well in The Colorado Kid--a fistpump, YES moment for me :D).

As much as I liked TWTTK, I'm just as happy with the saga where Mr. King left it.

I don’t know if their will be more ”Dark Tower” books/stories but I heard a rumor
If you read the dark tower series 19 times, a dark tower will appear in front of you and at the top of the tower will be an unlocked door to Mid - World
