for me it's a no to the original cast, unless we're talking cameos. i like jared in supernatural, but i think he falls apart in movies a bit. welcome.
I agree on the original cast stuff. I want a nice clean palette.
I'm for a cast of unknowns, or at least relatively unknown actors. Don't need, nor should they, blow tons of cash on a ensemble of Hollywood heavies chewing up the screen and taking focus off the horror...the horror...

That's fair enough, I remember when I watched the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th, Jared was in that one too. I thought he did good in that film, but he's much better in Supernatural. As for the others, it would be nice to see them make some sort of appearance in IT part 2, even if it were just cameos that would be good.

I agree with you, but given the success I have a feeling we will get a few relatively known names on part two.
Hi everyone! i'm new here. So as introduction, here's my ideal cast for the chapter 2. They're on the age rank and quite similars to their younger versions.. 
I think Leonardo Dicaprio would be the most similar to Bill, but that would never happen. I would choose Jason Bateman for Richie but the ressemblance isn't good enough in my opinion. And for Mike, Chadwick Boseman is a nice choice too, but i think mike should look a little bit older, being the one who stayed in Derry.
So.. what do you think?

Do you think they already have the cast and just hasnt been revealed? Or they waited for the box office results to hire a bigger cast? ("A" list actors i mean)
I don't think the second movie was officially confirmed until after the first one was a success...I would guess that they have some actors in mind though.
It's probably inevitable that the success of the first movie is going to increase the budget of the second movie, but I hope they don't get a bunch of A-list actors just for the sake of having them. The actors who played the kids were basically perfectly cast and I hope the adults are the same. The last thing I want is to see the second movie and be acutely aware of watching so-and-so on the screen and not feeling like it's really the character from the book come to life.
They may not be able to get any 'A' list actors for the parts as most 'A' list actors are already booked out for a couple of years at least. Might be better to go with some unknowns or barely knowns.
