Long time ago I began to read books, thanks to Mr King. Well at least that's what I tell my students. And it's true. Indeed I was warned about them; Dead Zone, The Shining, Salem's Lot ... but they didn't scare me a bit. But I couldn't stop reading. From page one (Dead Zone) I was nailed.

The other day my son gave me Revival. Here I am now some 48 hours later and I guess I have to tell my students that Mr. King effectively and rather abrupt killed my lust for books.

Yes, finally I'm scared to the bones. I guess I have to thank you Stephen King. I guess ...

It scared me, as well. The Shining and Salem's Lot didn't frighten you? Wow...how about trying Pet Sematary? Even after all these years it lives up to the famous blurb on the paperback. Personally, IT didn't scare me so much as just make me jittery and paranoid, lol. Bag of Bones isn't really a horror novel, but a ghost story, but it has some hair raising scenes. I guess it all depends on what you find scary.

This vision of the afterlife and this life as a chimera ... and behind that veil ... if that doesn't scare us, we're nothing but ants.
