Congratulations Nana MsMod !!!!! Best wishes to the family.
Wow - congrats to Ms. Mod and daughter - that's lovely

Is this the same daughter who had a baby girl a while back? If so - she now has the perfect family (one of each!)

Yes, it's the same one. Big sister is doing great with being around baby brother but having expected adjustment issues with being almost 3 and a new routine that includes someone else who is the center of attention. We're all working on making sure she doesn't feel like she's being replaced but getting her to daycare has been more challenging.

She probably doesn't want to miss anything with the new baby - that's adorable

Yes!
Baby boy is finally here! :D
Congratulations Ms.M and family :)
Yes, indeed! There was a lot of false labor leading up to delivery but once he decided it was time, it went fast. The nurses called it a "drive-by delivery" as it was only 15 minutes from the time he was officially admitted to when he was born. They'd been in the hospital maybe 25 minutes total. My daughter was in labor but thought she still had plenty of time so went to work and stayed there until 7 PM, drove the 45 minutes back to her house and her water broke just as she was turning onto her street. A bit of a panic situation when she got here getting her husband and their hospital bags but fortunately the hospital is only about 10 minutes away. He was born at 8:25 PM. Had she stayed much longer at work, she would have been having the baby by the side of the road!

Reverse psychology- she is the special , one heading off to attend day care and play with all her friends, while the adults have to stay at home. I know, it was worth a try!
Yup, we tried it but she's too smart for that trick. I also tried suggesting she could tell her friends what a big help she is being the big sister to no avail. She was fine once we got there and she had the other kids to play with, though.

She had had to be induced with her first so she wasn't used to what normal labor felt like and so thought it was no big deal and she was just "uncomfortable." I'd told her how different the contractions are but she had no real frame of reference to judge or I don't think she would have stayed at work quite as long. I'd also tried to tell her not to go at all (her shift was supposed to be 2-10 PM) as she was having contractions before she left although not regular at that point but she thought she was just fine and didn't want to jinx anything. Needless to say, this mom was very nervous knowing how fast it can go once water breaks.

My SIL said that after seeing what she went through without even an Ibuprofen in her system, he is never crossing her.
I'm glad she got to experience natural childbirth - remember not_nadine ? (haven't see her in a while) - she commented on how her sister had a baby - she said it was "like a cat" - not making a lot of noise etc.

Both of my child birth experiences were something like that - maybe I was just lucky but it helps if you're relaxed as well and know what to expect.

Glad she did not give birth on the side of the road!
