oh so i def wont buy it since king istn involved usually when an author isnt involved nothing is close to the book.Stephen isn't involved with the project but there is one planned.
Gntlgnt is never serious ms mod is though. It's been in the pipeline for while now, and last I heard was going to be a proper film, so even shorter than the mini series which left out so much to start with. One other thing being RUMOURED is that they were toying with the idea of the first part being the 80s and the 2nd being modern times (20teens).You serious?
The way they intend to split it, one volume about the kids, another about the adults, is realistically the only logical way to make it and cover all the ground.
I'll love seeing them dance around the scene in the sewer..... If you've read it, you know what I mean. No major studio will ever let that one through.
The Elephant in the room is how their gonna top Tim Curry as "Pennywise". Whether you liked the mini-series or not, his portrayal of that character is Iconic.
I dunno.....Michael Keaton or Kevin Kline could do a great Pennywise, as could Cumberbatch or even our old vile, slimy, rotten friend Doug Hutchison. There is just no way to top Curry. In a (IMHO) crap movie, he was a shining star. I use a Pennywise avi the whole month of October on Twitter and just about everyone says it scares them to death--lol.
I never even considered Kevin Kline! He'd be marvelous. I'm tired of Cabbagepatch's squinty face--lol. I have a 15 YO who is obsessed with himI dunno.....Michael Keaton or Kevin Kline could do a great Pennywise, as could Cumberbatch or even our old vile, slimy, rotten friend Doug Hutchison.
Fassbender, with dark hair, is my Roland. He can't get 2 out of three of my favorite King roles (lol).I could see someone like Michael Fassbender or Benedict Cumberbatch bringing the right amount of creepy to it.
I'm not sure I'd ever get enough of "Cabbagepatch". He's so fluid in everything I've seen him do - did you catch him in Warhorse? He was really wonderful in that.I never even considered Kevin Kline! He is really good in every thing which I've seen. He was very funny in Rory O'Shea was Here, and creepy and menacing in Atonement, particularly. Just overexposed, I think. Robin Williams could be VERY good, if he could be reined in. Have you seen him in One Hour Photo or even Insomnia? He was creepy as heck in both of those.I'm not sure I'd ever get enough of "Cabbagepatch". He's so fluid in everything I've seen him do - did you catch him in Warhorse? But Pennywise isn't just about menacing stuff....there needs to be that weird element of comical to him. If Robin Williams went threatening, he could pull it off, too. Dang, even Whoopi Goldberg could probably pull it off, too. (No law says Pennywise must be a man.)

My absolute favorite King character is Stu Redman In my mind, he's quite a bit like younger Dennis Quaid. I have Fassbender for Roland, so he can't be Pennywise, too--lolWhat's the third? I want Josh Holloway from Lost as Roland.

One Hour Photo is an extremely creepy and disturbing movie. My kids throw this in my face constantly. Long story, but it was Robin Williams--hey, how bad could it be? Come to find out, Very bad.He is really good in every thing which I've seen. He was very funny in Rory O'Shea was Here, and creepy and menacing in Atonement, particularly. Just overexposed, I think.
