I really, really wanted to like NOS4a2, but just couldn't. It got off to a great start and then fell flat. The characters were not particularly likeable or interesting. And when -
- the overweight husband married the FBI agent it just became plain silly. I liked old Bing though, but the Manx character and his motives were left undeveloped in a very long novel in which he was the antagonist. What was his deal with x-mas?
This book was a mess that probably should have been shortened and tightened up by a better editor. I didn't hate it, but should have like it a lot more. I enjoyed most of the stories in "20th Century Ghosts."

Hi!

A friend of mine who knows I LOVE SK and Joe Hill got me two late Christmas gifts. Get this!!!!

Joe Hill "Horns" SIGNED by Joe Hill AND a "Doctor Sleep" with a commemorative book jacket!!!

John, my son, and I donned gloves and looked and marveled at the signature and book jacket. Promptly put the books in protective book sleeves and they are on my book shelf. Yay!

Peace.

(Yay!)

N0S4A2 rocks. I really enjoyed Heart Shaped Box and 20th Century Ghosts too.

And even if you are not a comic book reader I highly recommend Locke & Key. The series is fantastic! It's also complete so you get the whole series and read it one go without having to wait for future installments.

So far I have only read Horns and Heart Shaped Box, the latter being my favorite. I am ready to read NOS4A2 and will purchase a copy soon. I just checked today, and sadly my library does not have a copy of it.

And I honestly thought I was the only one fangirling over Joe! ;-D He's a cutie! Cute, smart guys....what a weakness of mine. Joe seems like a great bloke too.

I recently read Horns as well. It was great! Joe Hill has his own style and not once did I think of his father 'til Joe mentioned Derry in there. This book was kinda freaky! There was one part that made me feel really creepy. It was awesome! :D
I enjoyed NOS4A2 but have not read any of his other stuff yet. I should request "Horns" from the library!

I've found with each of Hill's novels, they generate a special kind of creepy that stays with you after you finish.

On a side note I read an article about Daniel Radcliffe and that he was staring in a film adaptation of Horns.
